Checked/plaid button-up shirts, tie-dye clothes, happy socks, colorful headbands and hats, combats boots, jelly shoes which were available in every color imaginable, ankle high sneakers or normal sneakers which were extremely colorful, layering a vest coat on a long-sleeved or short-sleeved plaid/checked shirt, crop-tops, styling crop tops with a cardigan or plaid shirt, Knee-cut jeans, messy hair, shorts etc. the list is endless. I can give you a thousand and one ideas of the 90s teenagers. Colorful clothes were their favorites.
Come to think of it we can do the 90s teenager challenge, then we see who slays it the most…Just mentioning.
As I had mentioned yesterday that we had a Gala dinner at the company where I work and the challenge was to dress like the 90s teenagers. O heavens I loved the outfits that night. whereas some dressed like the richest teens of the 90s, others like me dressed like the ghetto teens of the 90s, some went for country music kind of a look, others went for crop tops and bandanas which were rocking then, and a few just dressed in their usual clothes. It was too much fun, filled with laughter, joy, giggling, and admiration as we danced to the 90s all kind of genre music. I went to bed at 2:30Am and some went to bed early in the morning 4-5AM. what a splendid night? I wish it could repeat itself over and over again. Don’t I just have awesome colleagues? Blowing kisses to you all my colleagues.
O, I forgot to mention the Pre-BirthDay. It was awesome. There was a birthday cake for all December babies, me being included. You should have seen how some faked their birthdays to December so that they can enjoy the moment LOL. All the chief chefs, the waiters and the waitresses came carrying the cake as they sang birthday song with the instruments being all sorts of kitchen utensils. I Laughed my heart out. Thank for making my pre-birthday awesome. I’m just preparing now for my Birthday this week on Sunday-18th Dec.
So with some of my colleagues who agreed to be on my blog, here is how the party went down Huhuuu. The photos are too many, bear with me…
I Looked for a nice old like place to take the photos, and this woody stairs was the best spot.
Before that at the entrance of the Great Rift Valley Country Lodge and Golf Resort we stopped to take photos like the 90s teens. Didi they slay it? I’m confident they did.
Followed some cake laughter with blurred friends.
Serving food but first, peace yo peace.
Hope you enjoy it.
Until next time.
